About This Product
Josh's Frogs Dart Frog BioBedding Bioactive Substrate is the perfect blend for growing tropical plants both in the home and in bioactive vivariums!
Our mix is a more eco-friendly modification on the original ABG Mix developed by Atlanta Botanical Gardens—it doesn't contain tree fern! Each bag is a precise mixture of charcoal, milled sphagnum moss, fir bark, minerals and trace elements.
The mixture creates the perfect balance between retaining moisture and proper drainage; it can last for several years if used properly!

How to Prep: Mix contents thoroughly before adding the BioBedding to the terrarium. Also, wet the substrate with distilled or reverse osmosis water before using it for cleaner moving—the moisture helps cut down on dust.

Suitable for Misted Setups: Yes! Josh’s Frogs Dart Frog BioBedding substrate has good drainage, yet retains the right amount of moisture when used in conjunction with False Bottom and Substrate Barrier in a misted setup.
Care: Josh's Frogs Dart Frog BioBedding is a naturalistic vivarium substrate and is meant to house a bioactive clean-up crew! Use this substrate with False Bottom, Substrate Barrier, Sphagnum Moss, and Leaf Litter to create a naturalistic vivarium.

Great Bedding
This bedding was a great pre made mix, the plants in my tank are thriving

EXCELLENT
I especially like this Bio Bedding for my frogs from Josh’s because I don’t have to worry about frequent maintenance or frequent bedding changes. I also really appreciate the YouTube videos that are from the folks with Josh who give each step of the vivarium set up for any frog that Josh’s sells. I didn’t have to go on a deep dive to educate myself regarding set-up, care, etc. This Dart Frog BioBedding is completely balanced and takes the guesswork out of what isopods, beneficial bacteria, additives etc. to add and in what measurements for my Bumblebee frogs. I know that my frogs are getting the best in their vivarium and their health is the most critical part for me. The vivarium has been set up for over 6 months and still looks as fresh as the day that I set it up! I do have sphagnum moss covering the top.

This is great bedding
This bedding is done perfect, You have to mix it your self, I like that, I could see that I had all individual ingredients dosed correctly. I know that because I put the different bags I bought side by side and they all looked pretty similar.
