The Arcadia Reptile JungleDawn-LED Bar is sleek, bold, powerful, able to deliver the energy needed to allow plants to grow, and to cause active basking in arid species by increasing visible light levels in terraria and vivaria. This clever system uses the very latest Full-Spectrum High Output LED diodes to project up to a massive 141 lumens per watt. It can be used with all standard sized mesh top terrariums.
PAR (Photosynthetic Active Radiation) is the measurement used to quantify and describe the amount of energy that is produced by a light source. PAR levels are increased by two elements within lighting and these are:
If a lamp produces light within a spectrum that is close to that of natural sunlight and has a high quantity (lumen output) it will have a high level of PAR. The higher the PAR, the more energy there is to cause photosynthesis.
Using a specifically designed mix of Full-spectrum, High Output LEDs we have created an LED bar that can project a vast quantity of light with a very high PAR value. JungleDawn-LED Bar projects a Full-Spectrum of light that mimics visible natural sunlight (6200 kelvin), along the PAR Curve but without using PAR-limiting separate red and blue diodes. As such, the Jungle Dawn-Pro fitting has a high PAR, a high percentage of PUR, a high CRI and no unnatural purple hue.
This light bar can be easily linked together to form a chain of up to 10 units. It can also be linked with Arcadia Reptile ProT5 UV-B systems, reducing the number of wall sockets required per enclosure. Each unit arrives with a power cable with integrated switch, fittings kit to allow you to fit this bar inside of a vivarium and with a Link cable.
This light uses a triple track LED configuration with a high degree of built in internal protection. Jungle Dawn-LED Bar will project a very wide, even and usable flood of energy-rich illumination, removing the risks associated with point source LED lamps. This LED system will both increase visible light levels for terrestrial baskers and provide the energy that is required by plants to grow.
JungleDawn-LED Bar creates a vast quantity of light, greatly reducing the need to use large numbers of plant growth fluorescent lamps. Plants need access to the correct quantity of energy and within the correct light spectrum to be able to replace the cells that are either damaged or die off naturally each day. If we under-energize a plant, we reduce its ability to create cells through photosynthesis, limiting growth. Typically plants that lack the energy will display discolored leaves and have a tendency to bolt as they grow quickly upwards to be closer to a light source. Healthy plants display good color, strong root networks and grow evenly at a moderate pace.

Its obviously a great light. Guy above didn't rate the actual product smh
I got one of the 17 inch for my 18 inch cube terrarium. I’ve never taken care of plants before and was worried I was going to kill every single one of my frogs plants. Everything is growing extremely fast. I even had a bromeliad that was sitting around for months dry as a bone. None of its leaves were red anymore. I was sure it was a lost cause but through it in anyway. It’s been about 3 weeks and it’s definitely grown and it’s color is coming back. I wouldn’t mount this inside something that’s only 18 inches tall though. After all the substrates are in its only about a foot from the substrate and your high plants will either dry up or block all the light. Also, it does generate heat. Mine is on the outside glass top and it raises the temp about 8 degrees. I’m going to get something to raise it off the top a few inches. Some days I turn it off early because I worry about my frogs. The is the best growing lamp I have ever had.
How many Watts per bulb is critical information. Is it 3 Watts / one watt / or .5 watts ?
