Porcellionides pruinosus 'Powder Orange', often called Powder Orange Isopods, are a hardy species of isopod and produce quickly once established. Powder Orange Isopods make a great clean-up-crew in a bioactive setup or naturalistic vivarium. They are large (~1 cm), active, and very colorful. This species is also super fast!
If you're looking to keep these isopods outside of a vivarium, we'd recommend keeping them on our Isopod Substrate, or even better, using our Isopod Culturing Kit. Josh's Frogs Milli Mix substrate is also a fantastic option.
In rare cases, starving isopods may attempt to consume the carapace of freshly molted invertebrates or even gnaw on small or delicate reptiles or amphibians. We strongly recommend providing supplemental food to your clean-up crew in the enclosure, such as Josh's Frogs Clean-Up Cuisine. When in doubt, using dwarf species of isopods such as dwarf tropical whites, may be a safer option.

I ordered 25 and they were all really health, i put them in their container and they ate the first food i offered
I ordered 10 count and received around 12 live and 1 dead. They were incredibly active right away, even just having been shipped in the dead of winter! Beautiful and inquisitive, with an excellent feeding response. Will definitely order powder blues once they are next available as well.
They all came alive! Not a single dead one! It also looked like I got more than ten, so that's also nice. They've been doing really well since I got them too!
Arrived very alive and very active! They are now in their breeding enclosure. Until they eventually move into my ball pythons enclosure.
