This kit contains everything you need for the care of a young gargoyle Gecko. It includes:
1. 12x12x18 Glass Terrarium
This 12x12x18 glass terrarium is ideal for housing a young gargoyle gecko. A screen top provides adequate ventilation for the animal, while insuring that it does not escape, or other pets/children do not easily get in to the habitat. Front opening doors make accessing your pet gargoyle gecko easy.
2. Josh's Frogs Coco Cradle Substrate
Josh's Frogs Coco Cradle substrate is made from quality, fine ground coconut fiber. Coconut fiber is excellent for holding humidity and is very easily cleaned.
3. Josh's Frogs Coco Flexi-Vine
This coco vine can be bent and twisted in any fashion, providing great perching, climbing, and resting areas for your pet gargoyle gecko.
4. Repashy Gargoyle Gecko Diet 3 oz.
This prepared diet for your gargoyle gecko contains everything it needs to thrive. Just mix with water and follow the directions on the package. Josh's Frogs recommends feeding your gecko 3-4 times per week.
5. Water Dish
This dish is actually ideal to serve your pet gargoyle gecko it's dinner! Made from durable epoxy, this dish is easy to clean.
6. Artificial Plant
Plastic plants serve multiple functions in your pet gargoyle gecko's enclosure. Not only do they provide hiding and climbing spaces, but plastic plants also collect water droplets and give your gargoyle gecko a place to drink, as well as just look good!
7. Temperature and Humidity Gauges
Being dependent on their environment for their temperature needs, it is important to keep your gargoyle gecko at it's proper temperature. Ideally, the air temperature on the warm end should be between 70-80F (it will be warmer on the surface of the heat pad) during the day. At night, the temperature can easily drop to 65°F, as long as the gargoyle gecko has the ability to raise it's body temperature the next day.
Humidity can be a little trickier with geckos. Too low of a humidity, and the lizard can have trouble shedding – the shed will come off in patches, or become stuck to the animal, instead of coming off in one clean piece with proper humidity. Too high humidity, and the gecko can develop respiratory problems. Generally, an ambient humidity of 60% is fine with gargoyle geckos, as long as a clean bowl of water is present at all times. The enclosure can be misted with dechlorinated, distilled, or reverse osmosis water to increase ambient humidity.
8. Josh's Frogs Spray Bottle
The name says it all! This trigger bottle is great for using with Josh's Frogs ReptiSan, or for misting your pet reptiles or amphibians. Volume: 16 fl. oz.
9. Josh’s Frogs Dechlorinator (4 oz.)
Use with water to pull out harmful chlorine. This will help provide the best water for your pet.
Josh's Frogs also recommends investing in additional décor to make your gecko feel at home, all available at JoshsFrogs.com!
