I have reptiles and spiders that range in size from a full grown adult bearded dragon down to newly hatched jumping spiders. I have raised many, many hatches of juvenile spiders on these Hydei and similarly sized fruit flies from Josh’s. I rarely lose a spider from hatch to adult! Even the baby spiders are raised on Josh’s fruit flies and they catch fruit flies bigger than their own size. Occasionally I put these larger fruit flies it the adults enclosure’s and they seem to enjoy the chase and appetizers. Additionally, I feed my Dart Frogs tiny meal worms that hatch. The Bumblebee dart frogs also love pinheaded crickets from Josh’s fruit flies etc. Highly recommend. In the summer I keep the fruit flies in an air conditioned room and they last longer. I also keep them in a cool, but not cold room throughout the winter. They are so easy to culture. I add a bit of fruit to their cups as needed and remove the old fruit every few days. I have found that the fruit flies last a good bit longer with cooler temperatures and bits of fruit.
Great culture for baby jumping spiders
