Defining Characteristics:

• Yellow form of the traditional pothos, called 'Gold' because of it's yellow/white variegation that runs throughout the leaves
• Variegation is enhanced under brighter/more intense light
• Makes a great houseplant due to its adaptability
• Easy to grow; tolerant of under- and overwatering
• Prolific grower that can quickly overtake vivaria

Watering Frequency: Moderate watering needs. This plant will tolerate a variety of watering conditions, but does best when the substrate is kept damp.

Lighting: Bright, indirect light. Golden Pothos will display it's best colors under bright light, but will grow just fine in dimmer lighting conditions. Direct sunlight will likely "burn" the leaves.

Origin: This plant was originally endemic to the island of Mo'orea in the Society Islands of French Polynesia. It can now also be found in Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Hainan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Singapore, Java, Maluku Islands, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Queensland, Marshall Islands, Hawaii, Palau, Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, and Western Samoa.

Regional Locality: Grows low in the forest, under trees.

Care Notes: Be cautious not to overwater Pothos plants as they are easily susceptible to root rot.
