Zilla Lizard Litter

uses laboratory grade aspen hardwood chips that are heat treated to provide an ultra-absorbent bedding and litter. Widely used by reptile breeders and professional herpetologists, aspen chips are an excellent substrate choice for snakes as well as other reptiles in both desert and tropical habitats. The chip size is ideal, making terrarium spot-cleaning easy!

Directions:

1. Pour bedding into terrarium and landscape as desired. A depth of one to two inches is recommended.
2. Remove animal waste and soiled bedding daily. Replace bedding monthly or as needed.

Feeding:

Always feed reptiles from a shallow bowl or plate. Always provide a separate bowl of fresh water. When feeding live food, it is best to feed the reptile in a separate container or in a terrarium that contains no substrate.

Humidity:

It may be necessary to add humidity, depending on the species of reptile. If humidity is required, it is best to provide it in the form of a separate humid hide or den with a shallow container of moist moss inside. This will provide a humid retreat for reptiles that are shedding or prefer moist burrows.
