Bottle Fly Spikes are larvae/maggots of the Blue Bottle Fly (Calliphora vomitoria) and the Green Bottle Fly (Lucilia sericata). Spikes make great feeders for a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, fish, and wild birds. Bottle Fly Spikes are high in protein (~20%), low in fat (~6%), and contain a surprising amount of calcium. They're also slow moving and soft bodied, making them easy to catch and digest.
Bottle Fly Spikes can be allowed to pupate into adult flies, which many pets (especially praying mantids, tree frogs, and chameleons) love!
