Temperature Requirement (°F): 60 to 75°F is best for growing, although it is cold-hardy and if planted outside, it can survive temperatures dropping to roughly 0 to -10°F. In colder climates, it may die back to the ground but often resprouts in the spring. It thrives in warm conditions and can tolerate temperatures up to 100°F (38°C), though it may require more frequent watering during hot, dry periods.
