Suggested Vivarium/ Animal Terrarium Use: As a general rule, carnivorous plants aren't recommended for animal terrariums because their specialized need for nutrient-poor, acidic soil and mineral-free water is incompatible with animal waste and standard care. Additionally, their high light requirements can overheat an enclosure, and their traps often consume the beneficial "clean-up crew" or pose a drowning risk to small inhabitants.
