Dubia Roaches have a relatively quick life cycle, which makes them an ideal feeder insect. Josh's Frogs sells dubia roaches, which are one of the best feeder insects on the planet for many insectivorous reptiles and amphibians. We'll quickly look at the life of a dubia cockroach, which can last up to 1.5 years with ideal care.
Dubia roaches are approximately 1/8 of an inch when they are born. Immature dubia roaches are called nymphs. They will grow about 1/8 of an inch every 3-4 weeks, depending on diet and temperature.

Small dubia roaches
At 5-6 months old, the adult dubia roaches should be about 1.5 inches long, and are sexually mature. Males have wings, while females look like longer, darker nymphs. Each female will develop 20-40 offspring at a time, which are held inside until they hatch, which takes place about 4 weeks after fertilization. Females can live for about 18 months and produce offspring every 2 months, while males typically die at 9-10 months of age.
