Supplies:
Josh's Frogs Scary Skeleton Terrarium Kit
Other useful supplies:
Tongs (openings in glass can be difficult to maneuver hands)
Scissors for trimming plants
Bamboo stick (very useful for arranging items in bowl)
Spoon (to use as miniature shovel)
Directions:
Place about 1/2"" of the Josh's Frogs Drainage Layer in the bottom of the terrarium.
Moisten the Sphagnum Moss and place a thin layer over the Josh's Frogs Drainage Layer. This prevents the terrarium soil from washing down into the drainage layer.
Add the Josh's Frogs Terrarium Soil until you have enough depth to cover the plant root balls (approx 2-3"" deep).
Using a spoon or bamboo stick, make a hole in the terrarium soil for the Ficus 'Alii' root ball. Insert the Ficus 'Alii' making sure there is good contact between the root ball and the soil.
Continue to make holes in the terrarium soil for the Ajuga 'Chocolate Chip' and the Pilea 'Tiny Tears' vine and plant them in the soil again making sure there is good contact between the root ball and the soil.
Place the cork bark and the manzanita branch in the desired location pushing gently into the soil.
Water the soil in the terrarium washing any soil off of the sides and the plants. Take your time making sure not to over-water. The soil should be moist but not wet.
Use a paper towel to wipe the water off the inside of the bowl and wipe any dirt that may have stuck to the sides.
Place the headstone in the desired location pushing gently into the soil. Arrange the skeleton bones in front of the headstone (headstones may vary).
Your finished terrarium should look like the picture below. Read below to learn how to care for your plants.
Plant care:
Water plants with distilled or reverse osmosis water only. The soil should be moist but not wet. don't allow the soil to dry out. Place the terrarium in indirect light and never direct sunlight.
