At Josh’s Frogs, we’ve been shipping our captive-bred animals to customers across the country year-round for over 2 decades! We work very hard to see each one safely to its new home, and we’re so confident in our proven process that we proudly guarantee live, healthy arrival every time. The key to our success is good communication with YOU, the customer! Read on to learn how to schedule delivery of live animals from Josh’s Frogs.
This is a common confusion for new customers. We coordinate animal deliveries with each recipient, so your animals will not ship out until we hear from you, whether it's by phone, email, or our scheduling form. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll reach out to you. If we still can’t get in touch with you after multiple attempts, we’ll cancel and refund your order. It’s a simple policy meant to protect our animals. Remember the key to our success?
As soon as you place an order for animals, we’ll send you an email to schedule delivery. Within that email is a unique link that takes you to a scheduling form specific to your order. This form is also available in your Josh’s Frogs account: navigate to the Orders tab, click View Details, then the Shipment # above Order Status, and finally the blue Schedule Delivery button.

The scheduling form contains important information about our animal shipping process and policies. Please read this information carefully. Failure to do so may lead to order cancellation.
Use this checklist to see if you’re ready to receive your new pet. For its safety and well-being, you must have an enclosure and food ready, as well as a good understanding of its care needs and an ability to maintain the environmental conditions required.

Please answer each question truthfully. If you can’t answer ‘Yes’ to each question, then you aren’t yet ready to schedule delivery. Don’t worry! Simply call or email us and we’ll help you prepare.
Once you’re ready, click Continue.
This section explains the conditions that must be met for us to ship your animal. Here’s a summary:
We can ship to your home or to an eligible shipping center for delivery Tuesday through Saturday. Saturday delivery is subject to availability in your area. Shipping centers must be open on Saturdays for Saturday pickup. If you schedule Saturday delivery where it isn’t available, we’ll have to reschedule.
Check the box at the bottom of this page to acknowledge that you’ve read and accepted our policies and expectations, then click Continue.
Here, you will choose either delivery to your home or to a FedEx or UPS hold location. For delivery to your home, simply enter your home address or select one of the addresses saved to your account.
For delivery to a hold location, enter your zip code in the search bar to find eligible shipping centers in your area. Choose one, then enter the full name of the person who will pick up your package on delivery day. It doesn’t need to be you, but the shipping center needs to know who to expect.
Once you’re finished, click Continue.
The final step is to choose a delivery date from our interactive calendar. This calendar pulls the latest forecasted high and low temperatures over the next 2 weeks and color codes each date for availability. Green dates are available to schedule, orange dates are unavailable due to weather, and gray dates are unavailable for other reasons.

If there are no available delivery dates, don’t worry. This happens sometimes, and we won’t hold it against you. Simply try again tomorrow. If you’ve already tried several times with no luck, give us a call and we’ll work out a personalized delivery plan together.
Choose a green date and click Schedule Delivery. Hurray! You’ve successfully scheduled your animal delivery.
As delivery day approaches, keep an eye out for updates. Remember that weather forecasts can change, but our safe temperature requirements do not. Animal safety always comes first. If bad weather or other issues arise that would prevent safe delivery, we’ll contact you to reschedule.
When your pet ships out, we’ll send you an email with a tracking number. Take this number to the carrier’s site and sign up for shipping notifications to stay updated on your delivery status.
On delivery day, be sure to receive the package on arrival and bring it indoors promptly. Neglected packages sitting outside quickly turn fatal for the helpless critters inside. Watch this video to learn how to safely unbox your pet:
